The Best Beauty Products November 2020
Okay, how TF is it December already? I can’t believe this crazy year is almost over (thankfully) and it’s already the holidays. Don’t know about you but I’ve had my Christmas tree up since the second week of November. Normally I’d wait to get in the Christmas mood until after Thanksgiving, but I feel like I needed some extra holiday cheer this year. So, yeah, I’ve been listening to Christmas music all month and am feeling super JOLLY.
Anyway, since November is over I figured it was high time I did a November roundup of the products I’ve been loving this month. You can check out my other monthly favorite product round-ups here.
Oh BTW, have you checked out my holiday gift guides? I’m going to be adding to them throughout the month of December, so make sure you take a look at them if you’re looking for some gift ideas! Let me know if you have any specific gift guide requests! I love finding the perfect gift and I’d be happy to help you do the same 🙂
Without further ado, I present my list of the best beauty products November 2020:
1. Kristin Ess Dry Finish Working Texture Spray
The Kristin Ess Dry Finish Working Texture Spray from Target has been on heavy rotation for me this month. It smells really good and it’s the secret to making my hair look lived in. I love to use the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and then spray this on after for textured, live-in hair. Plus, it’s available at Target so it’s easy to find!
2. ColourPop The Child Shadow Palette
Oh my god, this Baby Yoda collaboration with ColourPop is the cutest eyeshadow palette I’ve ever owned. If you haven’t watched The Mandalorian and fallen in absolute love with Baby Yoda, wyd? This eyeshadow palette comes in gorgeous shades of olives, golds, and browns (so it works really well with brown eyes FYI). Plus, it’s only $16? Like, this purchase was a no-brainer for me. Anyway, the shades are all super pigmented and easy to blend, making it a great gift for any makeup lovers and Star Wars fans alike. Or yourself, you know?
3. Versed The Big Chill Winter Unwind Skincare Gift Set
The Big Chill skincare gift set from Versed was an impulse purchase from me, but I’m actually really glad I bought it. Versed is slowly becoming one of my favorite affordable skincare brands. I ordered some more stuff from them for Black Friday, so I’ll do an in-depth post on their products once I’ve had more time to test them out..
The gift set comes with:
I’ve been really struggling with clogged/congested pores ever since I moved to Miami (thx humidity) and the clarifying serum has been my go-to for the past few weeks since I got it. I like to use it at night immediately after I wash my face. It doesn’t sting and has no scent, and it goes on easily. Definitely going to be a staple in my routine for right now!
The Emergency Eye Mask is meant to be used as a mask, but I like to use it as an overnight undereye cream. My under eyes definitely feel and look smoother after using this, and it doesn’t feel greasy (which I hate).
And let’s talk about the Frozen Cooling Globe because it’s AWESOME! I’ve been keeping this in my freezer and whenever I feel a big pimple coming out or wake up with puffy under eyes I just roll this over the areas, and BAM, skin looks less red or puffy. It’s a miracle! I only wish this came with two globes so I could use one under each eye at the same time, but I digress.
The Big Chill skincare gift set is super affordable and if you don’t want it for yourself, I’m sure someone else would love to get it as a gift or in their stocking!
4. Olive & June Nail Polish in the shades Besties, Exclamation Point, and Obvi
If you guys don’t know by now, Olive & June is basically my fave nail polish brand now. I’ve been growing my collection of their amazing polishes, and this month I ordered some of their new shades.
- Olive and June Besties is a gorgeous deep emerald green color that is PERFECT for this time of year. It’s basically the color of a Christmas tree, so you can wear it all month long.
- Olive and June Obvi is a glimmering, glittery gold. I needed new glitter polishes in my collection so this and Exclamation Point were a must-have. Obvi looks so pretty over a red nail polish because it’s a warm-toned gold!
- Olive and June Exclamation Point is a silver holographic glitter that reminds me of a disco ball. It’s such a fun color and if New Year’s Eve parties were a thing this year (sigh) it would for sure be my color of choice.
5. YSL Libre Eau de Parfum
Okay, so I only have a deluxe sample of this perfume, but I WANT THE REAL THING. It smells so F*CKING GOOD. YSL Libre is described as a warm floral – I’m not a floral perfume kinda girl and I wouldn’t consider this a floral, but whatevs. It has notes of orange blossom and musk accord. It’s warm and sweet, bordering on spicy. I love it. I was always a huge fan of YSL Mon Paris, and YSL fragrances have never disappointed me.
It also lasts for a really long time – I can still smell it on my hair and clothes the day after wearing it. It will get you a LOT of compliments too.
If you’re looking for a new perfume to add to your collection or something to put on your Christmas list, definitely consider YSL Libre!
6. Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara
Came across the Maybelline Sky High Mascara on multiple different IG accounts and some people mentioned it could be a duper for Glossier Lash Slick mascara because of the similar brush. Well, I’m here to tell you the final verdict: it’s not a dupe. It’s BETTER. The Maybelline Sky High Mascara is everything Lash Slick claims to be. Long, dark lashes that look natural.
I can’t get over how amazing this mascara is guys – I’ve been using it every day in the shade Blackest Black. I don’t use the waterproof version (I hate waterproof mascara, tbh) and it lasts all day. My lashes look really long and it really opens my eyes. If you’re going to the drugstore or Ulta anytime soon, I seriously recommend giving this a shot. It just confirms my theory that drugstore mascaras are just as good, if not better than higher-end mascaras.
7. Lancome Skin Feels Good Nourishing Foundation
I was on the search for a lightweight face product that I could wear for Zoom calls or when I actually feel like taking a selfie. Not many opportunities to wear foundation these days, am I right? This Lancome Skin Feels Good Nourishing foundation was the answer to my prayers. Not only is it super lightweight with the texture of a moisturizer, but it has surprisingly decent coverage. Also, it smells really good. Like almost too good.
One layer of this gives my skin a healthy and glowy finish, whether I use a brush or just my fingers. I have combo-oily skin and I don’t even feel the need to set this with powder. Oh, and the best part? It comes in a tube with a pump! I love this and if you like lightweight foundations that feel like tinted moisturizers, I think you’ll really like this one. It’s also oil-free and has an SPF 23.
8. BONUS! Non-Beauty Fave: My Go-To Starbucks Order RN
Ok, this isn’t really a beauty fave but, tis’ the season! I don’t go to Starbucks often but when I do, I like to try out different combos of flavors/syrups to create a new drink.
This drink legit tastes like a Ferrero Rocher (which is arguably one of the best chocolates to eat around the holidays and give as a gift!) So when you go to Starbucks ask for:
Iced Coffee (I almost always get a grande or smaller)
- 1 pump hazelnut syrup (sugar-free if desired)
- 1 pump toasted white chocolate mocha sauce
- Almond milk
That’s all! Soooo yummy and really fun for this time of year. You could get it hot but I’ll drink iced coffee even in the dead of winter. I know I’m not the only one. What’s your go-to Starbucks order?
Thanks for reading! Have you tried any of the items in my November roundup? What were your FAVE products this month? Drop a comment and let me know what you loved this month.
