Happy almost July! I’m back with my June 2020 roundup – and let’s just say there wasn’t a whole lot to love this month. I had a serious case of June gloom this month – the pandemic has made every day of my life feel the exact same. I’m also still practicing social distancing but it seems like a lot of people I know aren’t – so I’m starting to get antsy at home. It’s seriously so boring and it’s really starting to get to me. SIGH.
My goals for July are to really motivate myself to do at least one thing every day that makes me happy and to look for something to be thankful for every day. As I said earlier, this last month was f*cking hard. I am starting to get SO bored of being stuck home day in and day out with no end in sight. How are you guys coping?

Beauty Favorites June 2020:
My mom picked this conditioner up for me at CVS because I ran out of conditioner – and I was actually really impressed with this product. I usually can’t STAND most drugstore hair brands because I feel like they always have really artificial smelling scents and they are always loaded with bad ingredients like sulfates, parabens, etc. The Pantene Rose Water Conditioner is formulated WITHOUT sulfates, parabens, dyes, mineral oil, or silicones! Shocking.
As far as its performance goes, it smells really fresh – none of that artificial overpowering scent. It makes my hair feel super soft and moisturized after rinsing, and it’s really easy to comb through my hair with a wide-toothed comb. I don’t have problematic hair at all (it’s thick, and straight, with little to no frizz) so I’ve found that any conditioner really does the job for me. This one is inexpensive, accessible, and I love that it doesn’t have many questionable ingredients.
I have skin that has virtually no freckles. I have a tiiiiny birthmark next to my nose but that’s about it. I’ve always wanted freckles but 1 – my skin doesn’t freckle and 2 – I am religious about wearing sunscreen and avoid the sun like the plague the majority of the time. So natural freckles aren’t really gonna happen for me, ya know? I have tried to fake freckles before with various methods, like brown eyeliner, brow pencil, bronzer, etc. Not only did it look horribly obvious, but they don’t look freckles at all.
Enter Pseudo Labs. They gifted me their Faux Freckles kit (in the shade 02), and I’m hooked! It’s such a fun and innovative product – essentially its a spoolie brush that you flick onto your skin to create freckles. It’s hard to explain in writing – but watch this video to see it in action.
They look super natural and you can make them as intense or as light as you want. They don’t stain and are easy to take off – and it’s such a fun and easy way to change up your look, especially in the summer. When I first applied them I was shocked at how realistic they looked. I felt like Lindsey Lohan in The Parent Trap LOL.
This product was gifted by Korres, but I would absolutely purchase with my own money once it runs out. This cleanser starts out as a gel-cream and once you lather with water it foams up and really cleans your skin. After using it, my skin doesn’t feel stripped or dry – in fact, it looks and feels moisturized and hydrated. The best thing about is a little goes a long way – I can use a pea-sized amount and it lathers enough for my whole face. I love using this both morning and night – it’s quickly starting to become one of my absolute faves. It’s also great as a second cleanse for double cleansing.
I never thought I would be a body oil person – especially in the summertime. But I think I’ve changed! Versed’s body oil is a spray bottle, which makes it so much easier to use. It’s also more of a dry oil so it rubs in easily and doesn’t transfer to clothes or make me feel greasy. This is the best after you’ve just shaved – just spray it on, rub in, and your legs look GLOWY AF.
It has a really fresh scent too – nothing overpowering. I think this is such a good product for glowing, sexy summer skin. Also, it’s so affordable!
WHY DID IT TAKE ME UNTIL JUNE 2020 TO TRY OLIVE & JUNE!?! I am actually obsessed with their brand now – holy sh*t, you guys. I ordered the ‘Into You’ box which came with the limited edition Into You set of 7 nail polishes, 1 top coat, a nail file, buffing block, ACETONE FREE nail polish remover, their best selling cuticle serum, the detailing brush for easy cleanup, nail clippers, and their innovative ‘Poppy’ tool which is meant to help with painting your non-dominant hand.
First, their cuticle serum is a lifesaver – it comes in a pen with a spongy tip so you can easily apply to your cuticles on the go. It dries super quickly so you don’t need to worry about having oily fingertips touching everything. Ew. I swear my cuticles never look dry anymore and I think this has even helped my nails grow. There’s a reason why the serum is award-winning. 😉
Second, the polishes are so easy to use – they’re super thick and shiny and easy to brush on. The best part about them is that they’re 7-free and they last for almost 2 weeks without much, if any, chipping. Plus, their nail polish remover is acetone-free, and comes in a cute little tub that you dip your fingers into. If you didn’t know, acetone is actually awful for your nails because it strips your nails of its natural oils. Yikes.
Since I won’t be going to a nail salon anytime soon, using Olive & June polishes has literally been a lifesaver for my nails.
